Subject: Re: emergency fuel line repair
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Several years ago, I noticed rapid fuel depletion on my '79 bus. I pulled into a small-town service station to take a look, and found a leaking fuel line on one of the fuel rails. No luck finding any hose in that town, and I didn't have any with me. I ended up cutting the clamp off my jumper cables, and stripped about 8 inches of the insulation from one of the cables. I had new clamps, and it worked until I got to a town with a parts store. Sometimes you just gotta improvise!
