I inherited a Ford Aspire (and its car payments) three years ago because I needed a newer commuter car that could do 90-mile-a day commuting and my friend needed to get out of the payments (long story).

It DIDN'T MATTER what gear the car was in... it drove the same regardless; the only difference was the exhaust note.

It was probably the opposite experience to yours, as the clutch pedal's action was so light that I felt like I was about to put a Flinstone hole through the floor every time I shifted!
