Well, when I realized my van was female "Vana" seemed a no-brainer...and she's that Glacier Blue, so she's VanaBlue-- which sounds sort of like a nice Southern lady...and I added the blue part because I didn't want her mistaken for Vana White...I often find myself saying, "Vana, I'd like to buy a valve, please" when I am roadside playing Wheel of Misfortune...;-)

I'd thought about naming it just Blue or Old Blue when I first got it and hadn't determined the sex of the vehicle...would sing to myself, "Had an old vaaaaaaan, and his name was Bluuuuue, bet five thousand dollars, and he'll be good to youuuuuuu. Bluuuuue, Bluuuue-uuu-uuue, Good van you."

If your rig is regal he might be "BlueBoy"... if very working class, maybe "Bluto"...blue is the sky and the bluebird of paradise, so you could always have the rolling Paradise Lounge....

I have too much time on my hands, huh?

I don't have vanity plates cuz I'm saving the extra money for vanagon parts. ;-) VanaBlu is available in my state, though... one of the reasons I needed a larger travelling vehicle is that when I go anywhere I have no cat sitter and Creamcicle the Wonder Cat travels with...so I'd considered BluzCat, CatBox, and CatHaus, but somehow telling people I drive in a rolling cat house gets me disapproving looks... though it got me an emergency appt with a mechanic over the phone right away one time....

Happy naming. Drive it a little and it will come to you. I have a Mazda hatchback named Muffy-- not because she's a debutante but because her muffler had an obnoxious hole it in when I first got it and every stoplight I would growl about the damned muffing muffler muffa muffa whyioughta.....
