Is this a typo? You should be able to get to 69 in well under 30 seconds, even with an automatic. In fact, the autos will out-run the Syncros.

My 1990 Vanagon (automatic trans) gets to 60 in about one minute if the road is level, but usually there is a grade, or wind, and it takes about 3-4 minutes.
