took out the instrument cluster to work on the gears on the speedo and when i
replaced it all the lights for night driving were very dim.  i had to peel
that plastic backing off the cluster and stick it back on when i was done,
does that have anything to do with it?

also the light for my brights is now backwards - on with low beams and off
when highs are on?
