Hi Volks,

I think my 18 year old Sanden compressor on my '84 Westy is probably leaking around the main shaft seal as its lost a lot of this years charge of R12. I have used a sniffer and not been successful in finding a leak that way, back and front and inside. Is it possible to get a rebuild kit for these compressors and replace the seal, valve plate etc? I will probably change over to R134a though I hate to, but before I do, I want to make sure the compressor is up to snuff. The R134a will probably leak faster otherwise. I'm retiscent to replace the compressor if I can repair it.......Scottish blood probably. Any one done this already ? Thanks, Steve Cotsford
