When I swapped my tired quarter-million mile 1.9 for the new Tiico, it was an incredible improvement. Maybe a NEW 1.9 would be on par with the 2.0 I4, but that would involve time travel, and the heads would still leak. Any rebuild or new engine is a huge improvement over a tired old dog, dyno or not.
