I am fabricating a couple little doodads for my van's cooling system. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, doesn't it? Since the joints will be unstressed, I intend to use SOFT, silver bearing solder. Does anybody know what kind of a fit, i.e., amount of gap, is needed in a socket to make a proper solder joint? The material is brass and the tubing OD is about 3/8" (10 mm to you younger guys). Thanks to one and all, George |
