Volks,

Some up to date info on the Shady Boy Awning.

Just this week I purchased my second Shady Boy in a little over a year.

Although I too bought the first one from Wolfgang, he is now selling them thru:

Salim Assad Country Homes Campers FORD & VW CAMPING VAN EXPERTS CA

info@countryhomescampers.com Voice/Fax: (509) 472-8666

http://www.countryhomescampers.com

I purchased the Silver Awning for $250 ... including shipping.

Also, they have a "Prototype Clamp On Bracket" in Development .... but its not ready for sale yet.

However after a fair amount of discusson and the signing of a disclaimer release from, I was able to talk Salim into selling me a pair for field testing.

Both the awning and brackets should be waiting when I swing thru Phoenix next week on the way to Santa Cruz to see Bill Kasper.

I will install the Awning with the new "Prototype Clamp On Brackets" before heading to CA and do a quick field test along the way.

Will post intial impressions the week of October 28th.

BTW... based on my usage of my first Shady Boy, I would echo the earlier favorable reports. I really like this set up. Small, simple, light weight, easy to set up and take down and water drains completely.

Hope this info helps.

Hitting the Trail Soon,

Larry Chase

I bought mine straight from Wolfgang at ShadyBoy: >http://www.shadyboy.com/vans/index.html<
