Subject: Front door speakers.. problem solved!
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Ok with a little shopping around on crutchfield.com I decided I should just go with a 5 1/4 inch speaker for the door. As little modification as possible. So Lucky me finds that nakamichi only makes 5 1/4 inch speakers for the car. Even luckier me would found them on ebay. The audiophile in me is now satisfied, my trusty old 85 weekender-wolfsburg will have a complete nak stereo system. (got a TD-45z) off ebay some months ago..

anyhoo, just for future reference on installation, there is exactly 6 inches between the map pocket and the bottom of the panel on drivers side. Also crutchfield.com has a set of blaupunkt 5x7 WITH grill covers for about 50 clams. - Mike
