maybe easy to fab if you have a 5 ton press in your backyard. the circular track in the bottom plate is embossed in the metal.. if you have a radial die cutter / cutoff wheel (ie, a dremel on steroids) you can cut the bottom plates off at the welds. not hard to do, just wear eye protection and buy a few extra carbon cutoff wheels. i went thru 2 to vut a pair of swival bases off. FYI Sears has the electric radial die cutter/ grinder. these are super high rpm and they are about $80 and theyre an awesome tool. i use it to cut everything from metal to plastic because it makes a clean cut. chris
