Today, I have you beat. Tornado Red 1990 flying down Junipero Serra Blvd. in SF, mid 80's Syncro on driveway on Geneva near Cow Palace in SF, and a Blue Syncro with twin driving lights on it;s tail getting it's headgaskets replaced at Tassi Inc. in Colma. None had luggage racks. No provision for it as far as I can see on the castings. They are sealed on the front end unlike Westies.

As for Sportsmobiles that Chris mentions, I've never see one though I know they exist from reading about them. ASI's I know of a couple on Vanagons. One is at BusLab in Berkeley. Steve from that shop owns it.
