Subject: Auto Transmission Pan gasget leak
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi Vangonees, I need your expert advice - i have scanned the archives and can seem to find any references to my problem.

I have not been able to get the pan gasket on my automatic transmission to seal properly. I have replaced it twice and it is still leaking two or three teaspoons of oil each time I stop (and probably as I drive along). I leave a very messy calling card everywhere I go.

Any suggestions? I have not used any sealing material on the gasket - is this an option? Thanks for your support, Tom 84 Westy 1.9L 85 Vanagon 1.9L
