A good time to remind folks (as winter in the Northern hemisphere approaches) that 4wd drive does >NOT< mean you can stop any better than your 2wd brethern. It just means you can get started more easily.

A corollary to this is the difference between a 4wd vehicle and a 2wd vehicle is that you can get stuck further off road in the 4wd vehicle.
