Subject: will 1980 LP tank work on 84'?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I just found an early LP tank in very nice condition for twenty bucks. On the bottom of the tank it says "Gregg Mfg Co., Southgate Cal.1980" Id like to use it instead of my really rusty 1984 Lp tank. I noticed the the "vapor" outlet and the "fill" inlet are two inches from eachother on the 1980' tank, which is a very different configuration than my 84' tank. The 80' tank ALSO has the old style brass filler fitting....so ill have to modify that also....everything else looks like it will fit fine.

Has anyone ever done this? Are 80' tanks not as good design as the later models?

Anyone?......Bueller? Laters, Phil Stanhope 84' Westy w/Tiico
