a couple of things that folks might find interesting ...

the valve cover gaskets on the watercooled 86-91 buses are the same as on the old aircooled beetles. i'd imagine the gaskets are the same on the 80-83 aircools and the 83-85 watercools, but i'm not sure on those.

the grab straps/handles that come in some model vanagons (for the rear seat passengers) are the same as the ones in the beetles (to help the rear seat folks pull themselves upright). same part numbers and all.

the front door window crank handles in the vanagons are the same ones as in the beetles.
