Yes, assuming a later vanagon since I'm not sure what yours is. Bleeder valve is located on the slave cylinder--access it from the top of the engine compartment, driver's side. Reservoir for fluid is behind the speedo/tach cluster. It is impossible to introduce air into the brake system if you get too low, so don't worry. But you'll want to keep the reservoir topped off with dot 4 brake fluid as you bleed. You will need to pump the clutch pedal vigorously to get bubbles to move. tx, bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...."
