Thanks! This is GREAT info! I have not yet had to remove mine from my 1987, but if I ever find a nice kitchen unit that fits, I will most likely be doing just that.

I would have NEVER thought that they would hide the screws down under the carpet/floor level.

Once again... the list kicks butt!
