History: 1981 Vanagon purchased in 1981. Replaced 2 master cylinders in 22 years. 1st time it was the slave that was leaking and the master followed within a month or two thereafter. 2nd time around the situation was reversed, master going bad 1st then slave shortly thereafter. Based on my experience, they go out together, more or less. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia ---------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stan Wilder" <wilden1@JUNO.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, October 28, 2002 1:47 PM Subject: Re: Clutch release problems- '81 Aircooled
