it is normal for the lights to stay on until the engine is reved a bit.  If they stay on after hitting 2500 RPM or so, you either have an alternator on its way out, or a grounding problem.

This is the 2nd time on my '87 Westy Gl that I've seen those lights stay
on longer than the others when starting (almost 1 min.) Seems to do it
when cold.  Is this normal?
