Subject: sagging to the left

I have read several of the vanagon archives pertaining to springs and why the wear to the left. My question is, are they hard to change out? I am somewhat mechanically inclined and want to be more involved with my 84' since I have spent a good part of my time in it since its purchase in 97'. Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Dave 84 Westy. (do they all have a middle seat you can slide out?)
