Now you know why they did'nt put a map pocket on the passenger door at the factory. There is a glove box that came on some early Vanagons that is always open- this might be the solution-

All right. So I installed a new map pocket on the passenger side door. It all did fit so perfectly -- and the carboard on the door already had all the holes and everything. And the door closed and nothing broke.

Except... that now I can't open my glove box. Yes, the map pocket is now in the way -- which probably explains why there *was* no map pocket on that door in the first place.

But I like the map pocket, and I'd like to use it. My options so far:

- Move the map pocket closer to the seat to give space to open the glove box. - Somehow put hinges on the map pocket to flip it down when necessary (and add a "wall" to it so that thing don't fall out too easily)

Anyone with other ideas? That would be great!

Thanks,
