For those of us with WBX motors, take a good look at the holes in the bottom of the spare tire dish. Part of the exhaust path for the blower and radiator is ... the spare tire well. If you put a fuel can in that space it won't get hot enough to hurt anything but airflow will be changed. For y'all in the grate northwet, no worries, mon. For us in the great american desert, anything that makes it harder to cool off is a worry...mon.
