Seems Like ........... poor memory ............... The air-cooled use a standard accelerator spring just like the automatics. The air-cooled use a standard spring on the throttle body. The difference is that the Manual Tranny models just lock down under the throttle body lever. The automatics pass though the throttle body lever and have that spring on them behind the clamping screw. I haven't got a clue why but the fire wall is also a little different and of course the automatic has a different cable.
