Subject: auto tranny blues
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Ive owned my '89 wolfie vanagon for 9 months . But i have the dreaded head problems bubbles in the coolant oil in the coolant etc. But at the same time my tranny started hesitating to go into drive reverse etc. Im worried that i have to replace this verry expensive item . I checked my fluid before my engine went kaput and the color was fine . after my heads leaked i checked it again and my trans fluid looked brown and milky. It seemes weird to me that this has happened at the same time. Will coolant in the trans make it hesitate and have to rev the engine at high RPM's to move or cause the hesitation to engage. I plan to change the fluid gasket screen etc during the head job whitch we will do with the engine out for convenience. Do these simptoms seem familiar to anyone . I have a long trip planned to FLA from TN what can i do to get my trans up and going again Please respond to this message all help will be invaluable. Raul Lince
