stock engine you are generally much better of buying from a reputable shop that stands behind their work. when i was playing with type 1 engines i was never stock and liked to expirament. had at least one engine on a stand at all times. A vanagon type iv engine is not something i see to much room to play with. after talking with the extremely experienced local machine shop i do a lot of work with, almost any playing with the vanagon AC engine has to many risks. jimt On Friday, Oct 25, 2002, at 12:34 America/Denver, Stan Wilder wrote:
