Hey Folks,

I heard back from the Indiana dealership today, after emailing them about the 1991 full Westy for sale, for $7990.

Here was their response to my initial inquiry. ____________________________________________________________________________

Dave, It was first purchased in West Germany by a college professor who was doing research for a book on WWII. The van has been all over Europe and parts of Asia. The professor now teaches locally at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He traded it at our dealership toward the purchase of a new vehicle.

The van is being offered for sale on an "AS-IS" basis due to its mileage. It runs fine. You can visit the van's page again by clicking the following link:

You will notice that the asking price is $7,990. We can sell it for $6,200. ____________________________________________________________________________

I am not sure what the last sentence means. Heck, it sounds like they are willing to let it go cheap.

Again, this is not my Westy. I just found it on the web yesterday.

Anyhow, I hope some one scores themselves a good deal. Good luck.

Cheers, dave ___________________ dave bowers 1986 westy "hms-beagle" portland, oregon www.dave-bowers.com/vw
