Ken, very well said ! This is exactly why I got a Boston Bob Big Valve engine. Everyone around here thinks I'm crazy to have spent $4800 CND and a trip to Boston instead of going with one of the local rebuilders or should I say reassemblers. Completely balanced, we'll, see who has the last laugh 400,000 km later. My OEM engine made it to 380,000 km, mostly due to using synthetic oil. Bob has told me the copper surface was showing lots on all the rod bearings and he's quite sure it's only because of the frequent synthetic oil changes that a rod did not come through the cases. Mains were still silver all over !

Cheers
