I goofed. I taking my Solex carb apart, I was smart enough to label the 2 emulsion tubes, but I took the 2 jets out WITHOUT labelling them. (FWIW these are on my 91 syncro westy)

I realize that this is not the end of the world - all I have are 2 possibilities. But if anyone can help me, here's what I'm facing:

I have a Solex C34 TCIC 2 barrel, progressive (Weber knock-off). Pictures of the emulsion tubes & jets (& carb) are at http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/vanagonlist under "My Solex Carb.

There are 2 emulsion tubes:

1) one labelled 230 has FEWER holes and goes down the left hole (between the throats)

2) one tube is labelled 200 & has MORE holes and goes down the right hole.

UNDER each emulsion tube is a Jet. Now here is the problem: I did NOT label the jets as I took them out. One jet has 150 stamped on it and has a bigger hole. One jet is labelled 125 and has a smaller hole.

Does anyone know which jet (bigger or smaller) goes under which emulsion tube (more holes or fewer holes)??

I know I can do it trial & error, but I'm hoping that someone may have enough experience with carbs to just tell me the answer.

Thanks, Malcolm
