John, the problem is the brown wire connected to the head on the driver's side. Not the grounds on the firewall or the wires connected to the O2 sensor. Been exactly where you are....

OKOK< Again thanx for all the help...I now have brought my westy home (86 syncro) and am going to go through things myself again. OK, the place I plan on starting is the o2 sensor again. Just doesn't look right to me. I am going to go through a trace EVERY ground and see whats looking ok....so my questions (thanx in adavnce). OK the bus runs absolutely fine until it registers temperature as soon as the bus warms....BAM rich... not any time sooner... If I shut it off and restart it, its not fin e until its cold again. OK, so coming off the ground terminal on the driverside of the bus there are like 8 brown wires (connected) and one black wire that doesn't seem to be hooked up to anything...hmmm... Also I see that only 2 of the three wires from the o2 sensor are hooked up..... Gonna try to rewire them completed.....so...Where exactly does the o2 sensor wire into... I am going through my bentley now...also there is a green wire with copper, sheathing, then another la! yer of coppper and then the outter sheathing what is this???? The last thing that was wrong was the temp 2 senso was out a little but not a tremedous anmount and we changed but no effect.... Could a fuel filter clogged be causing such syndromes? OK I'll shut up now...thanks for all teh help. John
