Subject: Overheating not the problem; not warm enough
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Not that I want to complain about my Vanagon NOT overheating, but my engine temp. gauge barely comes off of Cold these days when the outside temp. doesn't get over 60 degrees F. When I start out in the morning, 35-40 F outside, it takes 5 to 10 minutes for it to start to warm up inside. Do you suppose the PO took out and left out the thermostat? If so, isn't it bad for the engine to not have the thermostat to help it warm up quickly? Am I totally off-base here? Do Vanagons just take that long to warm up normally?

Thanks, Marc Perdue
