I just called a company that does a bunch of intl shipping by boat and does what is called loose cargo (less than a container) shipping. to properly package the item and get it to new orleans for shipment to europe (i know backwards) was $180 for up to 40 lbs. with no controlled items for US or Destination port. after that prices jumped to a rate for up to 500 lbs. and crating fees the paperwork fees for controlled items could get astronomical as well. and i thought quarantine and inspection fees i was paying were high... jimt On Monday, Oct 28, 2002, at 14:17 America/Denver, Kim Brennan wrote:
