History: 1981 Vanagon purchased in 1981.  Replaced 2 master cylinders in 22
years.  1st time it was the slave that was leaking and the master followed
within a month or two thereafter.  2nd time around the situation was
reversed, master going bad 1st then slave shortly thereafter.  Based on my
experience, they go out together, more or less.
