Hey Folks,

I've wondered for a while what one of the Mercedes spare tire gas can looks like, so I did a search on eBay.

While the had no active auctions for any, they did have one listed under "completed items".

Often times the links showing finished auctions expire after 30 days, so I downloaded the image and re-posted it for all to see.

Have a look.

This one sold for $86.00.

There are so many vw/mercedes/german salvage shops around Portland, OR it won't be hard to find one. I'm sure I'll have to dig a little, but one will pop up. If I could find one for a reasonable price, I buy one and consider using it.

Just thought I'd share...

Cheers, dave :) ___________________ dave bowers 1986 westy "hms-beagle" portland, oregon www.dave-bowers.com/vw
