Hello everyone, well the installation process of the kitchenette is comming along pretty well. I have just a few concerns that I hope that someone might be able to help me with....... First I had bought the 2nd battery relay kit, and was installing it to run the kitchenette. Me and my friend almost have it installed. My only issues is that I might not have the black wire wired to the load reduction relay correctly. But we used a wire tester and the line is recieving power. My other issue is that we don't have a clue as to which wire the kitchenette runs off of. We think that it might be a set of 2 red wires that have connectors on them. If someone knows let me know. Now when we were doing all this I noticed the "hidden" outlet in the shelf area. Plugged into one of the outlets is a grey plug that that connects to the fridge at a point. Since it was plugged into the outlet, and the outlet has the wiring to connect to the 110 v camper outlet, I figure that the grey wire is the power source for the 110v connection. Since in theory so far the 110v is power from the grey plug wire thats plugged into the outlet, I figured that I could buy a power converter to plug the grey wire into, and run the fridge off of that, and totally skip wondering how to wire the fridge to the relay. I purchased a 600 watt power converter from Walmart to convert my 12v-110v. I hooked it up to the battery, and plugged it into the grey wire. I then turned it on, and drove around for about 4 hrs with it on. I had the fridge set to 110, and it seemed as if it might be getting colder, but I couldn't be sure. How can I tell if it working? Does anyone know with a power converter should I still be using the fridge on 12v while driving around even though the converter should take care of that? Does anyone know if this will work, or am I wasting my time? let me know thanx, Tracy 85' GL "Ripple"
