Wow, many great replies. I should clarify. The door opening aspect works great. I just don't like opening a door so that I can get a light to come on. I understand there are three settings, ON/Off/ON, however, the ON settings only work when I have a door open. One ON must be for "when door is open" and the other must be "for when door is closed" - but it is not doing its job. I think there is a quirk in the switches/wiring because there is the ON/Off/ON of my switches. I would like to flip a switch to make it come on. Currently, I can get the light on ONLY when I open a door. I want to have a light come on by way of the switch so that I need not open the door to find a key, coins for toll, whatever... I can have a penlight, but, I would prefer to use the dome light for its purpose -- lighting the interior without an open door. Thanks again.. Sorry for my abiguity. I should never post after 10 p.m. -- Happy motoring! Timothy in Phoenix, 84 Vanagon "Sparkii" 69 Bus "Buster" |
