Subject: Starter motor solenoid wires
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

On my 87 I have removed my starter (to do a clutch job) and I forgot which of the small solenoid tabs gets the smaller red power wire attached (from the ignition key). There are two connection tabs on the solenoid (one on each side of the bolt/nut with wires to the battery).

Do I attach to the tab nearest the outside of the van, or the one to the inside of the van?

What is the other one for then? Just a hot?

Thanks.
