Hello Volks, Just wanted to add my experience to the discussion on brakes. I installed Fast Forward's drilled rotors and metallic pads about 6 months ago on one of my Syncros. This vehicle tows a 12' utility trailer with small equipment and my toys quite often. I felt a considerable difference from new stock rotors and pads to new drilled rotors and pads when it comes to heavy braking with the trailer. I would estimate that nearly 1000lbs+ is added with the trailer and motorcycle. I know I've opened a can of worms with the weight, but Fast Forward's Bush Bumper w/ 2" receiver hitch has been awesome. Sorry for the shameless plugs. BTW: it is my opinion that under race conditions slotted rotors are far superior to cross drilled. The slots allow heat and gases to escape while under brake load, drilled rotors trap the gases between the pads and take longer to cool down. dylan 1991 Syncro x2 |
