Vanagon owners are >allowed to dream! > >-Blake Dream? I had a fiberglass rally seat in my Bay. Comfy even after 4 hours' driving. It was just great for hard cornering... accidents happen on corners when the seat can't hold you and you end up hanging onto the wheel....WHOOPPEE!!!! Turn too hard and hit whatever's on the inside of the bend, like a rock wall... It was probably less of a pain to get into, as the wheel in the Bay is not too far off horizontal, but I couldn't reach the left door lock knob easily at all (and I have LONG arms); had to get out of the seat to unlock the slider. I will eventually fit this seat to my Caravelle, but I will have a tilt column fitted by then, so hopefully entry-egress won't be much of a problem. -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin 9001, New Zealand <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
