It doesn't look like the load rating would be
sufficient since p-metric tires load ratings need to
be derated for use on light trucks and vans.
Since the tire you have is p-metric, and governed by
p-metric load formulas, the division of its load by
1.10 applies.
With your tires load rating of 1510 lbs divided by
1.10, the actual load rating for the tire would be
1373 lbs. in your application. I know that is less
than the rear GVWR number for one tire of my van.
The Kumho Tire Engineer sent me this when I was
shopping for tires:
The Tire and Rim Association is the governing body, in
the USA, for tire designers and vehicle designers
alike. They are supposed to adhere to the following
T&RA rule:
""When a passenger tire is installed on a
multi-purpose passenger vehicle, truck, bus, or
trailer, the tires load rating shall be reduce by
dividing by 1.10. The sum of this new reduced load
rating of the tires fitted to the axle shall not be
less than the gross axle weight rating of the axle
system as specified on the vehicles certification
label.""
"This is a built in safety factor to compensate for
the "abuse" of overloading and off-road/secondary road
conditions seen by these types of vehicles."
I would also question whether this tire has a high
enough maximum inflation pressure and sidewall ply
rating for your application. You should look for a 44
psi+ maximum pressure and a 6-ply rating.
Good Luck,
Tim
