I've heard that the '85s had taller springs but I don't really know for sure. How 'bout it, listees, .... are all 2wd Vanagons originally equiped with the same springs? Do Westy's have different ones than the standard passenger models?

The shocks have nothing to do with sag or vehicle height. That's strickly a spring thing. The shocks only serve to dampen up and down motion.
