The Sprinter looks like it would make a great camper, and a DIESEL puller to boot! Ive seen them at the local Frieghtliner dealership in Florida, i didnt know they were Mercedes....i wonder if it still has the German quality/craftmanship.

All The problems you mentioned about the Vanagon can be fixed with a little patience, a Boston Bob refurb WBX with the right coolant or a a conversion makes the Vanagon very realiable IMHO.
