I'm glad that your posting didn't turn out to be porn spam. They frequently start with such a subject line "Introduction". Besides a great majority of the posters are male so when a female sounding email addy comes up, the first thought is porn spam.

Anyway, welcome to the Vanagon List. I hope you find your dream Westy and stay with us for a while.

Your budget of $10,000 is certainly a very reasonable one. For that kind of money you should be bale to find one in very good shape and possibly even one with an inline-4 or Subaru engine conversions (for improved reliability). There are of course water-cooled Westies of if you don't mind dealing with some of their idiosyncrasies. More on this later.

I am not familiar with the Arizona market so I will let someone else chime in on that. If you find yourself looking in the San Francisco area, I will be happy to assist when I can.
