Hi all,

I am about to turn loose a very dear friend and her new Vanagon Westy into the wilds of interstate travel. This being her first ever four-wheeled vehicle owned, AND first Vanagon or Westfalia. I've worked extensively on the van for most of the past month, and well....being a Vanagon and such, I stress a bit, even though all seems just fine now. Her plan is to leave Maryland, following loosely along the I-81 corridor south to reach I-40 and head west toward Las Vegas, then Death Valley, and eventually the San Fran area. I would appreciate any dependable Vanagon connections / offers of help as needed along those routes, should any issues arise on her adventure west. I'll forward the replies to her as I hear from you. I'd like to know that she will be well taken care of in her 'maiden voyage' into the land of Westy travel. Thanks very much for reading, and any offers of hospitality along the way.
