Sure -- but lighter and cheaper and doesn't tie up your router. Do they really have a patent on the bits? They don't seem to differ much from a skinny spiral-cut router bit (I'm holding one that was made in '63 or '68, hard to read the stamp), or an end mill with a pilot.
