Volks,

Had the SA Big Brake Kit sold by Go Westy installed by them a bit over a
week ago.

Having put approx 1000 miles on this set-up,  my current impression is that
I noticed less fade, but not dramatic stopping power improvement.

Noticeable improvement, but not dramatic.

Having stated this .... I'm happy with this purchase and think the
improvement is worth it.

If I were choosing between the ventilated brake kit and the Big Brake kit
.... I'd go for Big Brake.

If I were choosing between Ventilated and Stock .... I'd stay stock.

In theory the Ventilated just doesn't seem to me to be that much of an
improvement, if any.

My 2-Cents.

A little while ago, i switched to 15" wheels as well, hoping to fit larger,
more powerful brakes on the front (although i can't complain that they look
better, too)... however, since then the few people i've asked about the
performance of the big brake kit have said that it only improves brake fade
characteristics, and not overall raw stopping power.

Is this the consensus?  (the only person i've heard say otherwise was trying
to sell them...)
