Adrian,

Since you seem to have written this latest posting in response to my reply, I will respond to you directly via the list as well.

I am pleased to hear that you are passionate about your Syncro. However, if you want to avoid elementary advice on T3 modifications, express your experience and intent when you ask your questions, NOT AFTER. No one will accuse you of flying blind if they can SEE you flying.

I tailored my reply to the general Vanagon List populace. Though you may be better acquainted with your Syncro than most folks are on this List, there is a possibility that you do not possess the experience or resource level required for some of these modifications. That was my assumption as you did not indicate otherwise. If I was incorrect, then I apologize. Perhaps that is the reason you are so passionate with this most recent posting.

Jacking up a vehicle's suspension is not always enough to allow installation of larger wheels and tires (16"+). Assuming that it is foolhardy. You seem to know a lot about your Syncro. However, this comment you made scares me, "I decided on the 16 inch tires because their was a 16 inch version of the van made."

As a bonafide 16" Syncro owner, I feel you do not have a full grasp of how that wheel/tire combination requires. When you are up to listening w/o getting insulted, please come back again soon. Maybe we can discuss how I stuck a 255/65/16 tire under my Syncro.

Nothing annoys me more than being asked, then being told that they already knew that. Further response to this will only be accepted via pmail.

ps: I am not trying to sell you anything
