Subject: DI-ELECTRIC GEL QUESTION
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

in buffalo ny, yesterday and occasionally, 87 van ran rough in humid/wet conditions. Yesterday, it blew brown smoke all the way to work. I checked the wires on the o2 sensor, and wiggled them to see if they were shorting out, cuz they're old. I found the engine ran like shit with the airflow meter connect off, and on. no change.

MY question is, if that connect is bad, would DI ELECTRIC GEL help keep moisture out and the connects efficient? or would it hinder the conductivity at the connects. once I put it in, it's tricky to clean out of the small fittings.

same question for temp sensors and grounds with regard to Di Elec Gel.

thanks!! tim allen buffalo
