Subject: changing gasket at bottom of cylinder sleeve without taking it
              completely off
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hello faithful Vanagon owners. I have a question about the thick black gasket that goes on the crankcase side of the cylinder sleve. Can you stretch the gasket over the cylinder without warping or snapping it? I would like to change it because im already doing a head job and id like to have it all as new as possible and my symptoms(Bubbles and oil in coolant) tell me that the bottom gaskets are bad. Anyone who responds is very appreciated. respectfully Raul '89 wolfie
