Of all the many ideas I've seen on T-2 and Vanagon lists, this one stands out as of the highest value. It was 2 or so years ago G. Matthew gave the procedure, and I have applied it successfully to taper fittings and any extra stubborn threaded fastener. It doesn't work 100%, but danged near, and always should be applied before wailing with a hammer or 4 foot cheater. I refer to this as the Bulley Tech in honor of both G. Matthew and Cyril L.

I use PB Blaster, dang the cost, as a penetrant when I need the very best results. It goes places WD-40 never heard of.
